Josiah and Alison originally met at a youth Camp. They then rekindled their friendship 2 years later when they interned at the same church in Owego NY. They spent the whole summer working together, hanging out almost everyday afternoon, and becoming the best of friends. By the end of the summer the friendship had turned into more. As they both returned to college they navigated long distance. It was clear to them that no matter the distance and the hardships it was a love greater than they had ever known. So the following summer Josiah asked Alison to make this a forever thing. She said yes.

How did you meet?

They originally met in person at a youth camp. Josiah’s older brother lived in the same town as Alison and were close friends. She introduced herself to Josiah simply because it was her friend’s little brother. Little did she know what the future held. 

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

It is hard to pick one. when the whole dance floor opened up to let us dance the proposal scene to “love story” by Taylor Swift.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

The main influence would be wild playful love that can withstand anything and grow anywhere. Bright happy flowers, calm blues, a beautiful venue that mixed classy with casual in such a perfect way. 

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Plan sooner than you think, do lots of research on multiple vendors, make sure both personalities are put into the day. Have fun! Things will go wrong or different than expected so do not stress over too many little things before/during. 

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

Pictures are often posed but video shows the raw joy, the moments we may have missed in our memory and it is something we can watch every year to relive the best day of our lives.

What did you like about working with me?

You were so chill and nice to get along with. We really enjoyed the singing during the couple sessions haha. You think of a lot of things/details to make it special.
