We actually went to the same high school, but had never met! Billy used to come into the bar I was bartending at but we never officially met until his cousin, Keely, and I started hanging out! I was still going to school at Upstate Medical and coming home on the weekends to see him. I moved home in November of 2015 and the rest is history!

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Billy – Seeing you and knowing you were going to be with me for the rest of our life. Kailey – Walking down the isle. It was so perfect. Watching our daughter throw flowers, seeing all of our family and friends in one place, the amazing view from our ceremony site, with Billy all smiles at the end was definitely something I will always remember. 

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

Billy – that’s all you!Kailey – Billy and I are both pretty simple people. Neither of us wanted a super elegant wedding because that’s just not us. We live in the country and knew we wanted that type of setting. COVID made us postpone our initial wedding, which was going to be at our home. With our postponed date, we could no longer go that route so we found Barnes Barn in North Brookfield, NY and it was perfect. It was exactly what we envisioned our day to be. 

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Billy – Agree with your fiancé and do whatever she asks (ha ha ha).Kailey – 1. Don’t stress! Something will go wrong and you will likely be the only one to notice. Everyone is there to watch you and your significant other have the best day ever – don’t let the small things that may go wrong ruin your day! 2. Enjoy every second. The entire day goes by in the blink of an eye!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

I was in a wedding group on Facebook and everyone raved about hiring a videographer. I started researching in our area and came across Gavin’s webpage. After watching some of his films, we immediately knew we wanted him to be a part of our day.  The day truly goes by so fast and as the bride and groom you’re so busy – Gavin captures all the small, and big, details you may have missed. It is 110% worth it!
