Anthony and Gabriella met in 2020 and became boyfriend and girlfriend by their second date. They knew pretty early on that this was something different, something special. Anthony quickly became dad to Gabriella’s puppy and has since arguably become the favorite parent. In under a year of dating Anthony asked Gabriella to think about buying a home together the following year, he asked her to marry him on the anniversary of the day they met two years later. They saved up money for years and in 2023 they bought their first home. They continued saving and had their dream wedding in 2024. They share a love for living a slower, quiet life and both enjoy being outside in nature. This is only their beginning; they’ll keep you posted <3.

As fish we would say we are a “Bermuda chubb fish” and a “Bermuda pudding wife” fish and we found each other at a crossroads in both of our lives and decided to risk our comfort zones to have one another. Since we’ve built a beautiful life as one another’s best friends, hiking and noise-music making partners, parents to Crispy the rescue pup and co-homeowners in our upstate Callicoon Yellow-door farmhouse. We really like and really love each other.

Early on, we bonded over our shared love of practicing the “spirited” parts of our Irish heritage. On most Wednesdays you can find us at our favorite Irish pub’s weekly trivia night. On question 13 the pub pauses trivia questions to do an Irish toast complete with Irish whisky. Slainte!
We’re both longtime Buffalo Bills fans and enthusiastically cheer them on every game either from our couch or in person at the Ralph – no matter the weather!
We share the mentality that life is too short to take too seriously and will never pass up an opportunity to dress up like idiots.
Like every child in the North Country, Mike practically came out of the womb wearing skates and has been playing hockey since he can remember. Meg crossed off a bucket list item when she signed up for an adult learn-to-play-hockey program in early 2020. Even though we’re at very different skill levels, we enjoy cheering each other on and even playing together every once in awhile!
In case you haven’t noticed – we have a dog! Boomer is 80% cotton ball, 20% Napoleon and 100% our sweet, spoiled boy. He brings joy and laughter to our lives and we love him to pieces.
We both love to travel and each did a fair bit of it before we met each other. We’ve been lucky enough to travel to Hawaii and Banff, Canada together and are headed to Tanzania and Zanzibar next month for our honeymoon!
The Proposal:
After some hint dropping by Meg (subtlety varies based on who you ask) Mike popped the question on Saturday morning December 18, 2021! Mike had a dog tag made that said “will you marry me”, put it on Boomer’s collar and waited for Meg to notice. When she finally did, Mike produced the most beautiful ring Meg has ever seen. Gerik and I have been together almost 4 years. In that time, he moved up from Castle Creek to Preble, where we’ve built a wonderful life together. We’ve had 2 beautiful children (Alexander and Colette), and live with our dogs Pierce and Mazie, and cats Lucy & Spice. It’s a full house and we are so lucky to be able to share our lives together. Gerik and I had an instant connection upon meeting in the fall of 2019. We went on to spend almost all of our free time together and got through Covid together. We’ve shared a mutual respect and love for each other and naturally try to make each other happy as often as we can. We spend a lot of time in nature and love to get outside with Letty and the dogs whenever we can. Much of our time has been spent exploring local waterfalls and state parks. I drag him to a beach every few months as well.
In 2021, we welcomed out son Alexander into the world. Our beautiful boy was with us for 4 months. He gave us such an appreciation for life and love and truly was the most incredible baby. When we lost him unexpectedly it broke our hearts. Somehow, with the help of each other and a loving support system we were able to get through much of that grief.
In 2023, we welcome Colette (Letty) into our lives. She has been an absolute joy and has helped heal our hearts in many ways. Our commitment to our family and to our future is what brought us to our wedding day. We are looking forward to many more joy filled days as we continue to build memories together.
