Matt’s cousin Connor and Katie are best friends. On June 3rd 2017 Connor called Katie and told her he was picking her up and taking her to Tinkers, a local bar, with some of his family including Matt. Matt and Katie talked all night and finished the evening with a late night burger at Patty Shack. We’ve been together ever since!

How did the two of you meet?

Matt is Katie’s brother, Chris, best friend. He has always been apart of the Clifford family so Katie had know him for years. 

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Our favorite memory of the day was when we were going out back just the two of us to take pictures. We heard the mere mortals warming up playing our favorite song, Africa. We had the dance floor and tent all to ourselves and enjoyed a private cover! It was a moment we will always remember! 

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

We wanted an indoor, outdoor space where we could celebrate. We knew Springside was the perfect spot and there staff was nothing short of outstanding. We love to have fun and knew we wanted our wedding to be a big celebration! I think that Was definitely accomplished. 

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Don’t sweat the small stuff, no one is going to remember the details but they will remember how much fun they had! 

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We knew a video might capture some important details we would eventually forget down the road. Speeches, vows, reactions that sometimes photos can’t capture! We will look forward to watching our video for years to come and sharing it with our kids some day!
