How did you meet?

Kyle and I didn’t start dating for a year until after we met! We met while I was working at the golf course in the summer of 2019 but we didnt begin dating until the summer of 2020. From there I had to finish college so we did long distance (sort of- I came home a lot) for 2 years. When I graduated, I came home and moved in with him. 2 years later he proposed! Kyle and I met while I working a golf tournament at the very place we got married! I was serving drinks from a tent on the first hole, and despite there being a beverage cart out on the course, he “coincidentally” made his way back to my tent a few times throughout the day for a refill. 

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

When we woke up the morning of our wedding it was gloomy and grey. It was raining off and on all night and that was supposed to continue throughout the day. Around 9 a.m. Kyle called me and asked me the dreaded question “So what do you think we should do?”- meaning, should we move our ceremony from outside to in? We had no plan for an indoor ceremony and we were not even sure we would be able to fit our guests. Reluctantly, I said yes and that it made the most sense. It wasn’t the plan but it was NOT going to ruin our day. I finished getting ready at my bridal sweet and was brought to our location. To my surprise, when I had arrived the ceremony was still set up outside. My beyond thoughtful (now) husband, knew how badly I wanted to be married outside and took the risk anyway. The sun came out at almost the exact moment I began to walk down the aisle. It was something- an act of love- I will never forget.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

We weren’t very concerned by what was trending during our planning process, we picked things we liked and felt that represented us. We chose our location because it was meaningful to us- the place we met.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Don’t wait until last minute to do things that seem like they are easy or won’t take a long time. They aren’t and it will. Get ahead of the game!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

Capturing our day through film was definitely important to us so we could relive those memories forever. We chose to rent cameras and film the day ourselves which gave it a home movie feel. Gavin did the BEST job editing everything together to show how amazing our day truly was.

Gavin is super responsive and easy to talk to. He’s so easy going yet extremely attentive!!
