It’s The Wind

Kaitlin & Brian

North Riding | Cleveland, New York Wedding Film

We like to say we’re a Hinge “success story.” January 2nd, 2022, after only having conversed for a very short time, we agreed to meet in person, in the Clinton Town Square. 4 months into knowing one another and taking our first trip together to NYC and then coming back with food poisoning and COVID, we asked each other “why don’t we just move in together?” As in every relationship, especially the ones that move quicker than others, we had many ups, such as purchasing a business, and many downs, the unfortunate loss of Kaitie’s “heart horse”, Winchester, we stuck by each other’s sides, through thick and thin. 2 years to the day, I proposed to Kaitie in the exact location that we had met. And as they say, the rest is history.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

My favorite moment was during our slow dance together. The first 60″ or so of the dance included the awkward “everyone’s just watching us dance–I was dreading this.” But shortly after, something just “clicked” during our dance and it genuinely felt like the entire room was empty, and it was just myself and Kaitie, enjoying in the moment in time together, as one.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

As Kaitie likes to say, the venue was known before her husband was lol She had a long history with North Riding, as it was a location where she rode and competed at many times with her late horse, Winchester or “Winchy.”

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

If you can afford it, get a wedding planner lol

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We were on the fence for awhile about securing a videographer. But honestly, the deciding factor was Kaitie’s mom’s coinciding battle with being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. We wanted to secure anything we could, that could help her relive or find joy in that special day, many times over.

What did you like about working with me?

We had the absolute pleasure of working with you for our wedding, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the moment you arrived, you were kind, courteous, and professional — but more than that, you were just an all-around incredible person to have by our side on such a meaningful day. You captured every important moment with care, without ever feeling intrusive or staged. You blended seamlessly into the background when needed, but also stepped in with thoughtful direction when we needed a little help or guidance. Your calm energy and genuine kindness made us feel completely at ease — like we were working with an old friend.
