We met through Bobby’s cousin Jackie. Jackie introduced us back in 2012 but at that time we were living in separate states. For the next 5 years, we would touch base occasionally but it wasn’t until the summer of 2017 that we reconnected because we were both living in the same state again.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Picking one favorite memory from our wedding day is hard, so we had to pick two! One moment that stands out in our minds is when we first saw each other in the church.  The sun was shining perfectly through the windows and it felt as though time around us had stopped.  That is a moment in time we will never forget. Our first dance is another memory that will always bring a smile to our faces!  It was wonderful to see the reactions of our guests as they watched our first dance!

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

While thinking about our wedding day we wanted a venue that had some character to it. The lobby of hotel Utica had just that! The columns and architecture inside is one that cannot be recreated! We also knew we wanted some extra antique looking decorations and accent pieces to tie it all together. 

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Planning a wedding through a pandemic was not easy because everything was constantly changing. Our top tip would be not to worry about all of the small details, rather focus on what really matters at the end of the day and that is your love for one another. We never let any of the craziness stop us from focusing on our love for one another. 

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We wanted to hire a videographer because we wanted to have the moments from that day in a video format.
