Meet You at the Altar

Annie & Nick

Turning Stone Resort and Casino | Vernon New York Wedding Film

It all started in 2015.
A true modern day love story that started with a simple “swipe right” on a well-known dating app.
Nick and Annie were both in college at the time; Nick attending Utica College and Annie attending Le Moyne College in Syracuse. That night, Nick was in Syracuse shopping and stumbled upon Annie’s profile and just like the name of the mall Nick was at, it was “destiny” that their paths crossed.
After a few weeks of getting to know each other, Nick found himself back in Syracuse taking Annie out on their first date. It was an immediate connection; the guy that everyone describes as quiet couldn’t stop talking with Annie. Both knew this was something special, but had no idea just how incredible it would become!
Annie and Nick began a relationship that was built on the foundation of friendship, trust, and true love. Through everything life threw at them, they were by each other’s side. They experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together and continued to grow as individuals and as a couple.
They went on so many adventures where life-long memories were made. From Boston to San Diego, Annie and Nick have truly have been blessed to experience it all. Nick has shared with Annie his love of the Red Sox and Raiders and Annie taught him that no meal is complete without dessert!
After a cross country drive in Annie’s Jeep with their two English Bulldogs, Coco and Chanel, in the backseat, Nick and Annie found themselves in California; first in Santa Barbara and, a year later, in San Diego. It was here that Nick asked Annie’s dad for his blessing, got down on one knee and asked Annie to marry him! Just when they thought they couldn’t love each other anymore, they began preparing for husband and wife and felt their love and bond grow even stronger!
Nick and Annie are soulmates; the ying to the other’s yang. Where one lacks, the other provides. When one is down, the other is lifting them up. They are best friends and look forward to a lifetime full of laughter, happiness, and love!

How did the two of you meet?

Nick and Annie met online with a simple “swipe right” on a well known dating app!

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

After a year and a half of planning, the wedding day of Nick and Annie’s dreams came to life and was the definition of perfect! From start to finish, Nick and Annie felt immersed in love and couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear all day and all night! Although it’s hard to pick just one favorite memory, one that stands out is when the church doors opened and Annie and Nick saw one another for the first time. It was as if there was no one else in the room but the two of them! Both Annie and Nick felt pure bliss and awe in that moment.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

Annie and Nick wanted a wedding where they looked back in 10 years and had no regrets on anything they chose! They followed the vibe of “simple elegance” and watched that transform in front of their eyes. Since the start of Annie and Nick’s relationship, Annie has envisioned her wedding at the Shenandoah Clubhouse at Turning Stone and when they toured it after their engagement, Annie felt a swell of emotions and knew this is where she would celebrate their forever! The Clubhouse was the epitome of “simple elegance” and the most beautiful venue Annie and Nick could have picked! Their family and friends enjoyed the little getaway, as well!

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Don’t forget about what that day means to you and your soon-to-be husband/wife. This is a day to celebrate the love you two share and the commitment of forever to one another; you have found your soulmate and that is something to be celebrated! It is SO easy to get caught up in stress and drama but try not to forget why you are doing this all. Surround yourself with a support system who will help you during those moments. Ground each other amidst the chaos. Make decisions that will make you and your spouse happy, do not try to please the masses! All of the hard work is worth it!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

I want to be able to relive my day over and over again for the rest of my life and I wanted to experience that in both video and picture! Both your photographer and videographer capture such special moments but bring a different view to it! I always knew I wanted a videographer but I needed one to capture the emotion behind the day, not just the excitement and I knew Gavin was the one for the job! His videos make you feel the love the couple shares and truly captures the reason behind the day! Gavin made us both feel SO comfortable and helped keep our focus on one another throughout the day.

Love You Endlessly | Mountain Top View | Binghamton New York Wedding Film | Hannah and Mike

We knew each other from the gym since 2015, but didn’t start dating until 2018. We went on our first date in January 2018 and we hit it off right away. We closed two different places because we didn’t want that first date to end. We went to yoga the next morning for our second date and the relationship took off from there. We shared a deep connection early on. We haven’t left each other’s side since. Mike proposed in April 2021 as Hannah was entering the last year of her PhD in Clinical Psychology and preparing to start a one-year internship in PA. Mike supported Hannah as she commuted 2 hours daily for one year so that they could remain living in the same home. Following that transition year, we moved to Portland, OR in January 2022. Right before moving, we eloped to Las Vegas in November 2021 to legally join our family. We are loving our new adventure in the Pacific Northwest and so grateful to our amazing family and friends who support us and our relationship in New York. Our wedding in August 2022 was the amazing celebration we hoped for but did not have time to plan before moving across the country.

Exploring The World Together | Wolf Oak Acres | Oneida New York Wedding Film | Brett and Emma

A lot of our story has to do with our love of adventure and for each other and being together. When we graduated undergrad, Brett got a job still in the area so I could finish my graduate degree and we could be together. By the time I finished my masters degree, covid was in full swing. During covid, we bounced around from my parents house in Buffalo, NY, to his parents and his brother’s house in Austin, TX. We road tripped with our dog, Dasher, to Cape Cod, MA, Nashville, Austin, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. In 2021 while we were on our road trip in Colorado, Brett got a call that he got a job in Seattle. From Colorado, we drove to Washington with only the belongings we had in the car and got a place. Now living in Washington with a house and now two dogs, we travel around Washington hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing and doing all the things we love. All of the things we’ve done have been done together.

  • Person I Have Been Searching For | Mountain Creek Resort | Vernon New Jersey Wedding Film | Lindsay and Brian

Lindsay and Brian grew up in the same town, went to the same school, were friends with the same families — Brian with the older siblings, Lindsay the younger. Despite sitting in the same stands, walking the same halls, and running in the same circles… they never met. After high school, they went away to college and went on to live in different towns. In 2020, in the midst of global challenges and abundant change, Lindsay’s company went remote, allowing her to permanently work from home. And home she went, not to a small apartment near the city where she’d spent the last several years, but back home to the place she’d grown up — where Brian too lived. Not expecting to find love, chance would have them starting the new year, 2021, talking to one another. Small talk and texts led to hours spent over food and drinks, puppy playdates, walks in the park, and before they knew it, they had fallen in love. They blended their families, each bringing a dog in tow, and moved in together. Since then they’ve made countless memories, made a house a home, celebrated birthdays, weddings, and births of those they love. And now they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their happily ever after surrounded by family and friends. So here’s to new chapters with old friends and big love found in small towns.

  • It’s Never Been Luck, It’s Always Been You | The Fitz | Syracuse New York Wedding Film | Kahssia + Radelle

Back in 2019, Kahssia was living in New Jersey but driving back to Syracuse every weekend because she was homesick. One weekend, she came home to go to an informal house party at her and Radelle’s mutual friend KJ’s house (KJ was also our super talented wedding photographer by the way).
Little did she know, Radelle was going to be there too. Now … Radelle and Kahssia had interacted a bit on Twitter before but nothing serious. At the kickback Radelle tweeted he wanted diner food and, sitting in the same room, Kahssia replied back his to his tweet agreeing that that did sound good.
At the function, Radelle could see that certain guests in attendance were getting uncomfortably close to Kahssia and he discreetly kept them out of Kahssia’s space for the night. She sub-tweeted him saying that she found the sense of protection attractive and he DM-ed to confirm it was him she was talking about. That day, they exchanged numbers.
Despite them texting very often, they didn’t actually get that diner food until a couple weeks later – when Radelle asked if Kahssia was still up for it and thankfully she was. It was by sheer luck that Radelle made it to the date too. He had just gotten off of work, showered, and had just enough time to grab a dozen roses right before the florist closed.

When Kahssia saw him walk in the diner with roses, she knew this was going to be more than just a friendly bite to eat … and as hard as she tried not to admit it – it was a good feeling. Kahssia and Radelle talked for hours … until the diner closed.
That still wasn’t enough time spent with one another though. They went on a date every day that week and each time they spent hours talking to one another. Between Texas Roadhouse, Tullys, Club 11, bowling, the movies … it was clear they were on the path towards something worthwhile.
These dates spanned across the week of Thanksgiving and eventually Kahssia had to go back to New Jersey for work. After she returned, she and Radelle talked daily – they’d start and end each day with messages to one another.
A little less than a month after they began talking, they made it official by becoming a couple … on December 4th, 2019.
And here they are, married 3 years later … on December 4th, 2022 at the diner where it all started.
