Kristi & Mike

Timber Banks Golf Club | Baldwinsville New York Wedding Film

We met 5 years ago and instantly had a very intimate connection; having both previously been in long term relationships, we knew what we had felt different and with that said, things got serious very quickly. After a few months of spending time together, Kristi mentioned how perfect Mike’s backyard would be for a dog. At the time, Mike lived in a huge lake house with 3 other single guys and his younger, reckless sister– a post-grad frat house some would call it. Not two weeks after the dog comment, Mike Amazon-Prime’d (not actually, but the transaction was just as fast) a 9 week old Siberian husky to the lake house, and told Kristi she would need to be the primary care taker since he was always away for work. That led to Kristi moving into the aforementioned frat lake house, which turned into Kristi being the mom of the house- doing everyones laundry and making sure the beer cans were cleaned up before Monday rolled around. It wasn’t long before we moved into our first apartment, which then led to our second apartment, a town house, and just recently our forever home. Over the years we’ve spent together we have both grown up significantly, and have accomplished many of our goals both as individuals and together.

How did the two of you meet?

Having both gone to high schools in close proximity and then Le Moyne College, we knew of each other for several years but never truly crossed paths until 5 years ago. We were both at a local Irish pub on a typical freezing night out in March in Syracuse. Kristi looked at her friend and pointed in Mikes direction and said “I wanna date that kid.” 1 month later after several dates, weekend trips and getting to know each other on a personal level, Kristi got what she wanted.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Our favorite moment together was when we got to slip out during dinner to take sunset pictures- we thought this would be inconvenient but we both had so much fun slipping away to run (literally run- thanks Gavin!) around the grounds of Timber Banks golf course. We spent the whole time laughing, sweating and having the best time just in each others presence.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

The moment we walked into Timber Banks we both knew it was the venue we would get married at- we loved everything about the venue, the views off the balcony, the lodge like feel of the outside, yet the modern look of the inside. We loved the idea of candles everywhere during the reception, giving it a more romantic vibe.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Do your best to stay organized. There are so so so many details when planning a wedding and keeping everything organized- vendor information, finances, decor inventory- is the key to having a more relaxing wedding day. Also, don’t have regrets- you only get married once (or you hope so). It is of course very expensive and at times feels like a huge financial burden, but spend the money on things that are important to you- for us that meant having memories that we and our future children can re-live forever (for us, that meant investing in a good photographer and videographer) and having fun (open bar and a huge bridal party of our closest friends).

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

When you’re engaged, every married person will tell you “Enjoy your day, it goes by so fast.” And it is so so true, but it’s hard to know how true until your wedding day has come and gone. Having attended many weddings, we recognized how hard it is for the newlyweds to truly spend time exploring the venue and seeing the day from a perspective that isn’t their own whirlwind and tunnel vision. For us, hiring a wedding videographer was a no brainer- and having Gavin as our vendor truly made our day the most special.

  • It’s Never Been Luck, It’s Always Been You | The Fitz | Syracuse New York Wedding Film | Kahssia + Radelle

Back in 2019, Kahssia was living in New Jersey but driving back to Syracuse every weekend because she was homesick. One weekend, she came home to go to an informal house party at her and Radelle’s mutual friend KJ’s house (KJ was also our super talented wedding photographer by the way).
Little did she know, Radelle was going to be there too. Now … Radelle and Kahssia had interacted a bit on Twitter before but nothing serious. At the kickback Radelle tweeted he wanted diner food and, sitting in the same room, Kahssia replied back his to his tweet agreeing that that did sound good.
At the function, Radelle could see that certain guests in attendance were getting uncomfortably close to Kahssia and he discreetly kept them out of Kahssia’s space for the night. She sub-tweeted him saying that she found the sense of protection attractive and he DM-ed to confirm it was him she was talking about. That day, they exchanged numbers.
Despite them texting very often, they didn’t actually get that diner food until a couple weeks later – when Radelle asked if Kahssia was still up for it and thankfully she was. It was by sheer luck that Radelle made it to the date too. He had just gotten off of work, showered, and had just enough time to grab a dozen roses right before the florist closed.

When Kahssia saw him walk in the diner with roses, she knew this was going to be more than just a friendly bite to eat … and as hard as she tried not to admit it – it was a good feeling. Kahssia and Radelle talked for hours … until the diner closed.
That still wasn’t enough time spent with one another though. They went on a date every day that week and each time they spent hours talking to one another. Between Texas Roadhouse, Tullys, Club 11, bowling, the movies … it was clear they were on the path towards something worthwhile.
These dates spanned across the week of Thanksgiving and eventually Kahssia had to go back to New Jersey for work. After she returned, she and Radelle talked daily – they’d start and end each day with messages to one another.
A little less than a month after they began talking, they made it official by becoming a couple … on December 4th, 2019.
And here they are, married 3 years later … on December 4th, 2022 at the diner where it all started.

She’s Everything To Me  | The Sinclair of Skaneateles | Skaneateles New York Wedding Film | Sarah + Chris

Over the last four and a half years Chris and I have built an amazing life together. We are older so we approched our relationship and commitments differently than most younger couples would. We are both well established in our careers and by the time we found eachother, we had both already completed most major life events.  This is what made things very simple, we are together beacuse we want to be, not out of obligation or need. We actually like each other and want to complete the second part of our lives together.

  • This Great Day | La Tourelle Hotel & Spa | Ithaca New York Wedding Film | Wendy and Aaron

We’ve been together for 3 years. Met in steamboat, lived in Denver, skied together every weekend that first winter together. Moved in together during Covid (& flourished during that time). Proposed back in steamboat. A few months later, Aaron deployed for almost a year and when he came back, we started our next adventure in Virginia.
Every stage feels like a restart to the honeymoon. If we laugh 1/10 of the amount, we will be in a good spot!

Soul Mate Through and Through | Wolf Oak Acres | Oneida New York Wedding Film | Holly + Ben

Ben grew up in Bradford, PA and Holly grew up in Cazenovia, NY.  When Holly was in her senior year at St. Bonaventure University, the owner of a marketing agency in Bradford reached out looking for writers to intern. Holly took the gig, and in May of 2018 moved to Bradford full-time to work at the agency after graduating. In July, one of Holly’s bosses (sensing her friendlessness after moving) invited her to a Fourth of July picnic at Allegany State Park with his family and friends. Lo and behold, that boss was Ben’s brother, Josh. We met that fateful day and began to form a friendship.

In the years following, our friendship grew as we made a lot of fun memories together. [It is here we must importantly mention how almost all of these lifelong memories included having Ben’s sister, Heather, by our side. Those priceless years of non-stop fun and trips and traditions are something we wouldn’t trade for the whole world, and we’re so lucky to have Heather in our lives.] We began to swap interests as we spent more time together — Ben’s infectious love of professional wrestling and campy slashers rubbed off on Holly, and Holly taught Ben about the world of great wine and getting beat in Spades.
In late 2020, our connection became irrefutable. When we were in a room together, it was like two magnets. We began dating and building our future. After we moved in together, it was so fun to explore the new interests that arose: We began an annual vegetable garden and learned new recipes to cook with our harvest, we adopted Wilson and nursed him from death’s door to full health, we re-discovered our mutual love of reading and got library cards.
On July 24, 2021 Ben proposed to Holly at 5:00 AM after we jumped into Willow Bay together at sunrise. On that day, we were hosting a seafood boil party for both of our families so that everyone could meet for the first time. We got to bask in the feeling of being newly engaged surrounded by our family and close friends.
On October 14, 2022 we got married and couldn’t be more excited to start our lives together as a little family — us and our two cats, Wilson and Wasabi.
