Gerik and I have been together almost 4 years. In that time, he moved up from Castle Creek to Preble, where we’ve built a wonderful life together. We’ve had 2 beautiful children (Alexander and Colette), and live with our dogs Pierce and Mazie, and cats Lucy & Spice. It’s a full house and we are so lucky to be able to share our lives together. Gerik and I had an instant connection upon meeting in the fall of 2019. We went on to spend almost all of our free time together and got through Covid together. We’ve shared a mutual respect and love for each other and naturally try to make each other happy as often as we can. We spend a lot of time in nature and love to get outside with Letty and the dogs whenever we can. Much of our time has been spent exploring local waterfalls and state parks. I drag him to a beach every few months as well.
In 2021, we welcomed out son Alexander into the world. Our beautiful boy was with us for 4 months. He gave us such an appreciation for life and love and truly was the most incredible baby. When we lost him unexpectedly it broke our hearts. Somehow, with the help of each other and a loving support system we were able to get through much of that grief.
In 2023, we welcome Colette (Letty) into our lives. She has been an absolute joy and has helped heal our hearts in many ways. Our commitment to our family and to our future is what brought us to our wedding day. We knew each other from the gym since 2015, but didn’t start dating until 2018. We went on our first date in January 2018 and we hit it off right away. We closed two different places because we didn’t want that first date to end. We went to yoga the next morning for our second date and the relationship took off from there. We shared a deep connection early on. We haven’t left each other’s side since. Mike proposed in April 2021 as Hannah was entering the last year of her PhD in Clinical Psychology and preparing to start a one-year internship in PA. Mike supported Hannah as she commuted 2 hours daily for one year so that they could remain living in the same home. Following that transition year, we moved to Portland, OR in January 2022. Right before moving, we eloped to Las Vegas in November 2021 to legally join our family. We are loving our new adventure in the Pacific Northwest and so grateful to our amazing family and friends who support us and our relationship in New York. Our wedding in August 2022 was the amazing celebration we hoped for but did not have time to plan before moving across the country.

Matt’s cousin Connor and Katie are best friends. On June 3rd 2017 Connor called Katie and told her he was picking her up and taking her to Tinkers, a local bar, with some of his family including Matt. Matt and Katie talked all night and finished the evening with a late night burger at Patty Shack. We’ve been together ever since!

We met in D.C, grew together in San Francisco and made it official in NYC. We in many ways embody the statement, opposites attract! We were set up by two friends, and dated for a year before taking it seriously.

We’ve been together for 3 years. Met in steamboat, lived in Denver, skied together every weekend that first winter together. Moved in together during Covid (& flourished during that time). Proposed back in steamboat. A few months later, Aaron deployed for almost a year and when he came back, we started our next adventure in Virginia.
Every stage feels like a restart to the honeymoon. If we laugh 1/10 of the amount, we will be in a good spot!
