Buddy In Life

Anna & Salvatore

Geneva On The Lake | Geneva, New York Wedding Film

Sal’s Response:  I met Annie at her sister’s wedding after a couple of failed attempts to meet up in New York City. We both ending up moving back to Rochester, NY and the rest is history!Annie’s Response:  After several failed attempts to be set up while we both lived in NYC, we finally met in person at my sister’s wedding. By that time, we had both moved to Rochester, and over the following year, destiny worked it’s magic!

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Sal’s Response: Seeing Annie walk down the aisle of the family barn. Annie’s Response:  The ceremony at the farm – it’s such a special and meaningful place for us, and we were surrounded by the most important people in our lives.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

Sal’s Response: See Annie’s answer. Annie’s Response: Even though things were not exactly as we had originally planned due to COVID, we still tried to incorporate elements that were personal and unique to us as a couple. For example … – Sal proposed in the barn where we ended up being married. – My dress was made by an Israeli designer, who’s boutique I had admired during a trip that we took to Tel Aviv. – We decided on a lemon theme for our reception/celebration dinner. This was inspired by our stay at a lemon farm during a memorable trip to Italy and the Amalfi Coast. We had to downscale our original plan for lemon tree centerpieces, but the lemons still reminded us of our amazing trip, and also paid homage to part of our original wedding plans.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Sal’s Response: The important moments will outweigh all the small details. Also, a wedding planner was very helpful to organize the event. Annie’s Response: Do the things that matters most to you as a couple. Don’t be afraid to change your plans – sometimes your “back up” works out better than  your original plans. And hire a planner!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

Sal’s Response: The day goes by very quickly. A photographer and videographer are essential to capture the important moments of the day. It helps you relive memories and also capture moments that may have passed you by. Annie’s Response:  Exactly what Sal said! We wanted to be able to relive our special day, and also share it with future generations down the road. If you think even for a second that you’ll want a videographer, book one!

We’ve been together for 3 years. Met in steamboat, lived in Denver, skied together every weekend that first winter together. Moved in together during Covid (& flourished during that time). Proposed back in steamboat. A few months later, Aaron deployed for almost a year and when he came back, we started our next adventure in Virginia.
Every stage feels like a restart to the honeymoon. If we laugh 1/10 of the amount, we will be in a good spot!

Let’s Raise A Glass To The Keenans! | Emerson Park Pavilion | Auburn, New York Wedding Film | Meg and Mike

Early on, we bonded over our shared love of practicing the “spirited” parts of our Irish heritage. On most Wednesdays you can find us at our favorite Irish pub’s weekly trivia night. On question 13 the pub pauses trivia questions to do an Irish toast complete with Irish whisky. Slainte!
We’re both longtime Buffalo Bills fans and enthusiastically cheer them on every game either from our couch or in person at the Ralph – no matter the weather!
We share the mentality that life is too short to take too seriously and will never pass up an opportunity to dress up like idiots.
Like every child in the North Country, Mike practically came out of the womb wearing skates and has been playing hockey since he can remember. Meg crossed off a bucket list item when she signed up for an adult learn-to-play-hockey program in early 2020. Even though we’re at very different skill levels, we enjoy cheering each other on and even playing together every once in awhile!
In case you haven’t noticed – we have a dog! Boomer is 80% cotton ball, 20% Napoleon and 100% our sweet, spoiled boy. He brings joy and laughter to our lives and we love him to pieces.
We both love to travel and each did a fair bit of it before we met each other. We’ve been lucky enough to travel to Hawaii and Banff, Canada together and are headed to Tanzania and Zanzibar next month for our honeymoon!
    The Proposal:
After some hint dropping by Meg (subtlety varies based on who you ask) Mike popped the question on Saturday morning December 18, 2021! Mike had a dog tag made that said “will you marry me”, put it on Boomer’s collar and waited for Meg to notice. When she finally did, Mike produced the most beautiful ring Meg has ever seen. After saying, “is this real?!”, once or twice Meg followed it up with “Yes of course!”

Love You Endlessly | Mountain Top View | Binghamton New York Wedding Film | Hannah and Mike

We knew each other from the gym since 2015, but didn’t start dating until 2018. We went on our first date in January 2018 and we hit it off right away. We closed two different places because we didn’t want that first date to end. We went to yoga the next morning for our second date and the relationship took off from there. We shared a deep connection early on. We haven’t left each other’s side since. Mike proposed in April 2021 as Hannah was entering the last year of her PhD in Clinical Psychology and preparing to start a one-year internship in PA. Mike supported Hannah as she commuted 2 hours daily for one year so that they could remain living in the same home. Following that transition year, we moved to Portland, OR in January 2022. Right before moving, we eloped to Las Vegas in November 2021 to legally join our family. We are loving our new adventure in the Pacific Northwest and so grateful to our amazing family and friends who support us and our relationship in New York. Our wedding in August 2022 was the amazing celebration we hoped for but did not have time to plan before moving across the country.

Soul Mate Through and Through | Wolf Oak Acres | Oneida New York Wedding Film | Holly + Ben

Ben grew up in Bradford, PA and Holly grew up in Cazenovia, NY.  When Holly was in her senior year at St. Bonaventure University, the owner of a marketing agency in Bradford reached out looking for writers to intern. Holly took the gig, and in May of 2018 moved to Bradford full-time to work at the agency after graduating. In July, one of Holly’s bosses (sensing her friendlessness after moving) invited her to a Fourth of July picnic at Allegany State Park with his family and friends. Lo and behold, that boss was Ben’s brother, Josh. We met that fateful day and began to form a friendship.

In the years following, our friendship grew as we made a lot of fun memories together. [It is here we must importantly mention how almost all of these lifelong memories included having Ben’s sister, Heather, by our side. Those priceless years of non-stop fun and trips and traditions are something we wouldn’t trade for the whole world, and we’re so lucky to have Heather in our lives.] We began to swap interests as we spent more time together — Ben’s infectious love of professional wrestling and campy slashers rubbed off on Holly, and Holly taught Ben about the world of great wine and getting beat in Spades.
In late 2020, our connection became irrefutable. When we were in a room together, it was like two magnets. We began dating and building our future. After we moved in together, it was so fun to explore the new interests that arose: We began an annual vegetable garden and learned new recipes to cook with our harvest, we adopted Wilson and nursed him from death’s door to full health, we re-discovered our mutual love of reading and got library cards.
On July 24, 2021 Ben proposed to Holly at 5:00 AM after we jumped into Willow Bay together at sunrise. On that day, we were hosting a seafood boil party for both of our families so that everyone could meet for the first time. We got to bask in the feeling of being newly engaged surrounded by our family and close friends.
On October 14, 2022 we got married and couldn’t be more excited to start our lives together as a little family — us and our two cats, Wilson and Wasabi.
