SUNY Oneonta is where it all began. In 2016, we became fast friends. While we were there, we both learned about our adventurous and creative sides. These were the things we learned to love most about each other.
In 2018, we packed up our belongings and moved cross country to Los Angeles. While we were in L.A., we got to explore the vast beauty that California had to offer, while both flourish within our respective careers. While we were there, we adopted our dog, Shelby Cobra Maranga-Jacobson (yes after the car).
In 2021, after a long evening of Mexican food and too much California sun, we got engaged. A few months later we packed up our bright Orange Subaru and moved back east to Atlanta, GA.
Ever since becoming friends in 2016, we have not lost our adventurous and creative sparks. We frequently explore new areas and try new hobbies. On July 31st, 2022, we officially became Mr. & Mrs. Maranga-Jacobson, which was our most creative and exciting adventure yet. We each were our what if people in our lives 20 years ago, that came to be 12 years ago. Our lives have not been the same since. Daniel and I met 20 years ago at my college when he came to visit his twin brother. He and I exchanged wash’s to stay in contact but he very quickly became my what if guy. As I his what if girl. Years passed with small conversations here and there online until one day when things blossomed into something amazing! A beautiful relationship started to bloom between us with long talks and chats online roam invitation to a fire one night. From that day on we were inseparable. Now here we are 12 years later married!!!

We met at Ohio State when we were both still in college after being good friends for our second and third years – despite Matt moving to Arizona for work after graduation and Cassandra moving home to Philadelphia for law school, we made it work and eventually Matt joined the Dulas in Pennsylvania. After Cassandra graduated from law school, she had a job offer in London and Matt in his infinite flexibility said, “Let’s do it!” A year after moving we got engaged and two years after that we had our big day!
