My Best Friend, My Heart, My Whole World.

Allison & Charlie

Blooming Hill Farm, Monroe, NY

We met on a dating app in New York City, longing to get away from the typical “playing the dating game” approach where you can’t ever show that your interested in the other person. We ripped of the band-aid right away and jumped fully in, with our hearts full, our emotional barriers knocked down, and just being our genuine full selves with one another. Our love is one we choose every single day. We were supposed to meet going on a running date together but were forced to have a Facetime date due to the Omicron Variant of Covid. Neither one of us wanted to hang up on the other person because the conversation was flowing so easily but we mutually decided that it was best to leave room for the next time we were able to see each other. We first met in person a week later for cocktails and tapas, and the rest was history!

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Hands down, the ceremony. There was so much emotion from each other, from our families, from our wonderful guests. It was so special to share our personal stories of one another and share our vows with those we felt closest to. The music was lovely, having Allison’s Uncle Chun as our officiant was heartfelt, and just experiencing that pivotal moment in our relationship in front of all of our loved ones was what made this the best day of both of our lives.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

We were inspired by a best friend’s wedding we had gone to in Seattle. It was in the backyard of a garden-type property, with beautiful scenery and a loving group of guests. We wanted our guests to have an amazing time, to get loose with their emotions and dance moves, and just be free-spirited. Our venue, Blooming Hill Farm had everything we could have ever asked for: amazing food, scenery and overall vibe.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Take your time formulating your vision together, not everything needs to be perfect on the surface. If the loving energy is there between the two parties in the couple, then there is no way you can possibly go wrong! Everything on your wedding day will go exactly as the universe had always intended and you can’t control any little things that may go wrong. Don’t sweat the small stuff, focus on what’s important!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We wanted to capture fun, silly moments throughout the day, as well as the ceremony and speeches. We didn’t want to rely on our guests to feel obligated to film certain moments instead of being fully present in those moments. We highly recommend the film, we too were on the fence but are so glad we did it in the end!

What did you like about working with me?

We loved your vintage style of shooting and editing. It felt more of a cute home video approach as opposed to these dramatic movies that some videographers do. It felt more to be like us: wacky, genuine, and heartfelt.
