Transcend The Stars To Keep You Safe

Allon & KrIstin

The Amber Room Colonnade | Danbury, Connecticut Wedding Film

We met while studying at the same theatre conservatory, and quickly became best friends. In between rehearsals, we shared many late-night car rides, starlit walks, and deep talks. We took road trips to Boston and NYC, stole the hearts of the others’ family, joined the others’ friend groups, read the others’ books, listened to each other’s music; Our love wasn’t at first sight. It was something that we built together, quietly, without even realizing it. Allon confessed his love to Kristin the summer of our sophomore year. Five years later, he asked her to be his wife.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Kristin – the flash mob/dance everyone did for me was one of my happiest moments! Watching all my closest friends and family dancing together was so overwhelmingly wonderful, I’ve never felt that much joy. Allon – The ceremony, John Cena Entrance, and the flash mob dance. Nothing brought me more joy than seeing Kristin enamored and in bliss for those moments.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

At its core, we wanted a whimsical wedding. Kristin is a bit more woodsy/lowkey, whereas Allons’ style is a bit more grandiose/outgoing. We wanted to find a style of wedding that expressed how we authentically blended these styles within our own relationship, and the Amber Room felt like a sweet spot. We wanted bold, wild flowers that still read as elegant, and loved the romantic candle centerpieces that were a combination of romantic and whimsical.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Prioritize yourself and your joy, and don’t stress what your parents/aunties/friends will think or say. This is your time to celebrate your love. Don’t worry if that means being less conventional or doing something new. Don’t worry if that means you say no when people ask for too much of your time and attention on the big day. As long as everyone is fed and taken care of, the details and time spent is for YOU TWO to decide.

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

Any tips for couples on the fence for a film? Allon loved watching his parents’ wedding film, and had many fond memories of the music and the dancing he got to experience through their film. We want our kids to experience the same. We also had a lot of family members who couldn’t travel internationally to make it. In short, we hope that the video can act as a way of letting others experience the wedding, whether they couldn’t make it due to travel or because they aren’t born yet.

What did you like about working with me?

We LOVED working with you! As soon as we started watching your wedding videos, we knew you were not like any other videographers out there. Your style captured magic and whimsy while still being so deeply grounded. We saw that your films really varied, and that demonstrated that you, as an artist, cater each video to your couples, while still maintaining your own voice. Even when things fell behind schedule, you never made us feel rushed. We felt so taken care of during this entire process. Your professionalism, paired with your warmth and humor, made this such an easy process for us.
