Keep Doing What Were Doing

Kelly & Steve

Breezes Banquet & Event Center | Utica, New York Wedding Film

We met at the bar, The Bullet. At the end of the night, Steve & his friend gave me & my friend a ride home. Then lost touch for a few months, reconnected on Varick St., & the rest is history.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Do I have to pick just one? Our whole day was absolutely perfect & more than I could have dreamed of. Besides marrying the love of my life in front of all of our friends & family, I think the fireworks are my most favorite memory. They were packed with a lot of meaning for me.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

The venue was a no brainer for us; Breeze’s is so modern, the outdoor patio was perfect, & the Roser’s were amazing to work with.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

As the bride, I really struggled with wanting to go to cocktail hour vs. everyone not seeing me until being introduced as Mr & Mrs. We ended up going to cocktail hour & thanking everyone at that time. Also we cut the cake fairly quickly in the evening. This helped immensely with being pulled in a million directions & we were really able to enjoy the reception. I also would tell any bride, relax & enjoy every minute of planning & the day. Everyone says in the blink of an eye it comes & goes, & they are 100% right!!

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We honestly were on the fence about a videographer as well, but all of our friends & family had one regret about their day; they wished they had one if they didn’t. The day flys by & we are so excited to be able to relive our special day all of the time, along with seeing things that we wouldn’t have normally gotten to.
P.S – Gavin is one of the most down to earth & easy people to work with, so I highly recommend him 😉

Anything else you would like to share?

Thank you to everyone, including our vendors who came out and celebrated our big day with us.

Let’s Raise A Glass To The Keenans! | Emerson Park Pavilion | Auburn, New York Wedding Film | Meg and Mike

Early on, we bonded over our shared love of practicing the “spirited” parts of our Irish heritage. On most Wednesdays you can find us at our favorite Irish pub’s weekly trivia night. On question 13 the pub pauses trivia questions to do an Irish toast complete with Irish whisky. Slainte!
We’re both longtime Buffalo Bills fans and enthusiastically cheer them on every game either from our couch or in person at the Ralph – no matter the weather!
We share the mentality that life is too short to take too seriously and will never pass up an opportunity to dress up like idiots.
Like every child in the North Country, Mike practically came out of the womb wearing skates and has been playing hockey since he can remember. Meg crossed off a bucket list item when she signed up for an adult learn-to-play-hockey program in early 2020. Even though we’re at very different skill levels, we enjoy cheering each other on and even playing together every once in awhile!
In case you haven’t noticed – we have a dog! Boomer is 80% cotton ball, 20% Napoleon and 100% our sweet, spoiled boy. He brings joy and laughter to our lives and we love him to pieces.
We both love to travel and each did a fair bit of it before we met each other. We’ve been lucky enough to travel to Hawaii and Banff, Canada together and are headed to Tanzania and Zanzibar next month for our honeymoon!
    The Proposal:
After some hint dropping by Meg (subtlety varies based on who you ask) Mike popped the question on Saturday morning December 18, 2021! Mike had a dog tag made that said “will you marry me”, put it on Boomer’s collar and waited for Meg to notice. When she finally did, Mike produced the most beautiful ring Meg has ever seen. After saying, “is this real?!”, once or twice Meg followed it up with “Yes of course!”

Infinitely In Love | Hall of Springs | Saratoga Spa State Park, New York Wedding Film | Emily and Wesley

Our love story began in 2012, in Madrid, Spain (well in the JFK airport over a beer and a Diet Coke to be exact)…. As luck and perhaps fate would have it, we both signed up for a summer study abroad program through our Alma Mater, Syracuse University. Despite both attending SU only a year apart, we had never formally met on campus. We spent a great deal of time together that summer, becoming the best of friends (that tended to dance together and kiss from time to time) and creating unforgettable memories that we will cherish forever. Some of our favorites include: hanging out and chatting in the school courtyard (before Wes dozed off for his mid-day siestas), trying every sandwich at Cien Montaditos, dancing until the sun rose at Kapital nightclub (Emily somehow always ended up near the DJ Booth), searching for Wes’s wallet for an entire night after being pickpocketed, and traveling to Barcelona – a place we fell in love with and re-visited together 6 years later. Our romance continued to grow when we returned to Syracuse University. Whether it was a party at the hockey house, attending a basketball game, or going to the campus bar, Chucks, we always seemed to find each other. As we spent more time together, it was clear our chemistry and love for one another was blossoming into something special. Wes finally asked Emily on a first date (mini golfing), foreshadowing Wes’s future aspirations to be a good husband with a decent handicap. However, Emily would like it known it was SHE who got a hole in one on that first date. Together now for almost a decade, we have been through quite a journey of long distance, graduations and new careers. In the summer of 2020, we concluded our long distance journey and moved to Saratoga Springs, NY – a very special place we now call home, and where we continue to build amazing memories together.

  • One In a Million | Shenendoah Golf Club At Turning Stone Resort Casino | Vernon, New York Wedding Film | Collen + Justin

I first heard about Justin through a mutual friend on campus at Notre Dame. After we met, we started dating about one year later and did two years of long distance dating after college before I moved to Charlotte to be with him! We got engaged in December 2018 and planned to get married in July 2020, but COVID forced us to postpone twice. We waited over 1,000 days to get married – it was so worth it!

  • Olive Juice You | Timber Banks Golf Club | Baldwinsville New York Wedding Film | Kristi and Mike

We met 5 years ago and instantly had a very intimate connection; having both previously been in long term relationships, we knew what we had felt different and with that said, things got serious very quickly. After a few months of spending time together, Kristi mentioned how perfect Mike’s backyard would be for a dog. At the time, Mike lived in a huge lake house with 3 other single guys and his younger, reckless sister– a post-grad frat house some would call it. Not two weeks after the dog comment, Mike Amazon-Prime’d (not actually, but the transaction was just as fast) a 9 week old Siberian husky to the lake house, and told Kristi she would need to be the primary care taker since he was always away for work. That led to Kristi moving into the aforementioned frat lake house, which turned into Kristi being the mom of the house- doing everyones laundry and making sure the beer cans were cleaned up before Monday rolled around. It wasn’t long before we moved into our first apartment, which then led to our second apartment, a town house, and just recently our forever home. Over the years we’ve spent together we have both grown up significantly, and have accomplished many of our goals both as individuals and together.
