We do not remember the first time that we officially met. We grew up down the road from one another, went to school together, and competed on the swim team together. We feel like we’ve known each other our entire lives.

How did the two of you meet?

After knowing each other for years, we started dating in high  school, and we ended up going to the same college for two different reasons. I was offered a swimming scholarship at a great nursing school, so it made sense for both of us. Senior year of college we decided to get an apartment together and adopt a dog. After college, we found ourselves moving to Cooperstown and getting jobs in industries we were very passionate about – Baseball and Nursing. After a year living here, and 2 years living together, I popped the question to Olivia, and now here we are starting this next chapter. 

What was your favorite memory of your wedding day?

Zack – My favorite parts of the wedding day were our first look and hearing the toasts from Caleb, Adelle, Pop Rick, and Louis.
Olivia – My favorite parts of the wedding day were our first look and dancing with my dad.

What were the main influences behind the style of your wedding, its location and your venue choice for your big day?

We really wanted to show off our home, Cooperstown, and the lake that we live near. The Otesaga was the perfect choice because it is so elegant and has a beautiful lake view during the ceremony and cocktail hour.

What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?

Pick your vendors based on references (either from the venue, friends or other vendors). Having Vendors with experience at the venue and with each other made our day so much easier. 

What made you decide to hire a wedding videographer? Any tips for couples on the fence for a film?

We wanted to be able to relive every part of our wedding day from when we got ready to the end of our reception. The wedding day is such a blur, and there are so many aspects that we don’t remember well. Having a video will give us these memories.
