A lot of our story has to do with our love of adventure and for each other and being together. When we graduated undergrad, Brett got a job still in the area so I could finish my graduate degree and we could be together. By the time I finished my masters degree, covid was in full swing. During covid, we bounced around from my parents house in Buffalo, NY, to his parents and his brother’s house in Austin, TX. We road tripped with our dog, Dasher, to Cape Cod, MA, Nashville, Austin, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. In 2021 while we were on our road trip in Colorado, Brett got a call that he got a job in Seattle. From Colorado, we drove to Washington with only the belongings we had in the car and got a place. Now living in Washington with a house and now two dogs, we travel around Washington hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing and doing all the things we love. All of the things we’ve done have been done together.

Gerik and I have been together almost 4 years. In that time, he moved up from Castle Creek to Preble, where we’ve built a wonderful life together. We’ve had 2 beautiful children (Alexander and Colette), and live with our dogs Pierce and Mazie, and cats Lucy & Spice. It’s a full house and we are so lucky to be able to share our lives together. Gerik and I had an instant connection upon meeting in the fall of 2019. We went on to spend almost all of our free time together and got through Covid together. We’ve shared a mutual respect and love for each other and naturally try to make each other happy as often as we can. We spend a lot of time in nature and love to get outside with Letty and the dogs whenever we can. Much of our time has been spent exploring local waterfalls and state parks. I drag him to a beach every few months as well.
In 2021, we welcomed out son Alexander into the world. Our beautiful boy was with us for 4 months. He gave us such an appreciation for life and love and truly was the most incredible baby. When we lost him unexpectedly it broke our hearts. Somehow, with the help of each other and a loving support system we were able to get through much of that grief.
In 2023, we welcome Colette (Letty) into our lives. She has been an absolute joy and has helped heal our hearts in many ways. Our commitment to our family and to our future is what brought us to our wedding day. We are looking forward to many more joy filled days as we continue to build memories together. -

Since we’ve built a beautiful life as one another’s best friends, hiking and noise-music making partners, parents to Crispy the rescue pup and co-homeowners in our upstate Callicoon Yellow-door farmhouse. We really like and really love each other.
